Nexus Underwriting has secured Sure Insurance Services, a leading specialist in medical travel insurance, thereby significantly enhancing its footprint within the health tourism and cross-border healthcare markets.
Strategic Integration
Founded in 2003 by Alison Thornberry, Sure provides essential medical travel insurance programs across the UK, Australia, and South Africa. This entity will now be part of Millstream Underwriting, a Nexus subsidiary since 2015. Alison Thornberry and her team will maintain their roles under the leadership of Millstream's Managing Director, Rob Amati. This acquisition aligns with Nexus’s disciplined strategy of integrating niche MGAs.
