New participants include Crescent Meditours (India), Astana Tourism (Kazakhstan), Health Croatia, Bulgaria, and the Health Tourism Association of Saudi Arabia. Gremi Clinic (Albania) and Bangkok Hospital (Thailand) return, diversifying this healthcare destination.
Key Themes and Innovation
A central focus is tourism's intersection with evidence-based health and longevity. The European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA) will showcase new thermal destinations: Spa (Belgium), Baden (Switzerland), and Viterbo (Italy). The European Spas Association (ESPA) will address scientific backing for therapies and emerging wellness tourism trends.
Academic Program
The academic program covers "Longevity, Regeneration & Prevention," "Nature-Based Health" (thermal medicine, preventative treatments, natural therapies), and "Digital Health Meets Thermal Health" (digital solutions). The Health Tourism Industry (HTI) and European Health & Medical Tourism Association (EHMTA) will also strengthen health tourism industry networking.
